The Story

My pops is a fan of mythical creatures, particularly Nosferatu and Yeti. (Especially Nosferatu.) For his birthday, I painted a piece with these figures strategically placed around him in a scene from a train tour we attended. In my eyes, my pops is pretty mythical himself, in a fabulous hero sort of way.

The Story

Paprika was an amazing granddog—animated, athletic, caring, and protective. Just a joy to have her for a companion. As a Doberman, this breed is susceptible to a heart disease known as dilated cardiomyopathy or DCM, which can weaken and enlarge the heart without warning. Paprika passed away suddenly from congestive heart failure this year. If anyone adopts a Doberman, it is imperative to get them regular checkups and scanned for this disease . This was a devastating loss, and we all miss her dearly.
